360 Leadership Course Outline


Introduction

The statement, ‘‘everything rises and falls on leadership’’ is often said by John Maxwell, and this is true. So, when we are discussing the performance of an organization, we cannot but talk about leadership. Stephen Covey helps us out here, “A leader is the one who climbs the tallest tree, surveys the entire situation, and yells: “Wrong Jungle!’

There is almost nothing much like followership! In most cases, organization. No one will ever complain of any organization existing with too many leaders. Organizations can never have enough! However, most organizations narrow their vision to a limited number of leadership positions, and when hiring leaders, they think only in terms of filling the top spots.

That is the reason why we do not hear of followers, we are all expected to be leaders in every aspects of our positioning within the organization. Leadership is a complicated and difficult skill, one that no single person ever maters.

There are some things you do well as a leader, and some you do poorly. It is same for all leaders, the same for you. Even the greatest leaders from history had blind spots and weak areas. So what’s the solution? 

Organizations need to develop leadership teams at every level! A group of leaders working together is always more effective than one leader working alone. And for teams to develop at every level, they need leaders at every level.

Course Objective

At the end of the course, participants will able to:-
  • Understand that leadership does not reside at the top alone. 
  • Understand the need to see deeper and discover their leadership qualities, understand the concept of leading from where ever in hierarchy
  • Know how to influence effectively, and be ready to be a 360 degree Leader!

Course Methodology

This program employs adult learning techniques, which include active learning strategies to facilitate understanding and retention. Participants will spend 70% of the time in individual or group activities, which allow them to learn, develop and practice vital skills. The trainer will draw examples from the participants’ experience to simulate real life working situations. He uses a workbook to facilitate the program and will hand out additional notes where necessary.
